Tebogo Malebogo is a South African film director and screenwriter. His goal is a collaborative, research-based practice that imagines narratives and perspectives rarely seen in cinema.

Malebogo‘s films have screened at Locarno Film Festival, New Directors/New Films, Blackstar Film Festival, New York Film Festival, SXSW, Clermont-Ferrand, Palm Springs Intl’ ShortFest, and AFI Fest among others. His works have been programmed on Le Cinéma Club, Topic, Argo, Vimeo Staff Picks and MUBI.

Tebogo has been supported by BAFTA, Berlinale Talents, The New York Foundation for the Arts, SFFILM, Blacktag, and initiatives at New York University, where he received scholarships to study in the Graduate Film Department.

Currently in development on feature films “Where is the Healer?” and “The Blanket People” both set in Johannesburg, South Africa.
